What is the Bid Assistant?
The Bid Assistant allows you to bid on auctions when you are offline or would like bids to be placed automatically for you.
Here’s three reasons why we love our Bid Assistants.
- Bid Assistants let you bid, even if you are not sitting at your computer. If you need to grab that soy latte or flick through your favorite mag, the Bid Assistant can bid for you so that you don't miss out.
- Getting a Bid Assistant to place your bid guarantees it will get placed in the last ten seconds (if you're the only one bidding using a Bid Assistant). You don't have to worry about losing your internet connection or taking time to relax in the final moments of the auction. You can rely on your Bid Assistant to bid when they are told to.

How do I activate my Bid Assistant?
To access the bid assistant, click on the product that you would like to bid on. This will take you to a detailed product page. On the right hand side of the screen, just below the “Bid History” you will see a place where you can set Bid Assistant parameters. From here, the bid assistant works in the following way:
- Minimum Price - This is the auction price at which you would like your bid assistant to start placing bids. For example, if you set your bid assistant minimum price at $5.00, then the bid assistant will start placing bids once the price of the item hits $5.
- Maximum Price - This is the highest auction price at which you would allow your bid assistant to place a bid. For example, if you had a maximum price at $10.00, then once the price of the auction item reached $10, your bid assistant would not place any more bids.
- Bids - Refers to the maximum number of bids that you would like placed on an item.
Note: In both of the above examples, "price" does not refer to the amount that you are willing to spend, but rather the price of the auction at which your bid assistant is activated and deactivated.
Once these parameters are set the bid assistant will start placing bids when the auction reaches the "minimum price". One bid will be placed every time the clock timer goes under 10 seconds. Depending on the number of bids you have designated, the bid assistant will continue to place bids against other bidders in the last 10 seconds until your bids have been used or until you have won the item.
How can I use the Bid Assistant in my strategy to win?
Bid Assistants can be powerful allies to win auctions, however you will need to use them wisely. Your aim is to have the only Bid Assistant set at a given price point. You can then leave it up to your Bid Assistant to bid and perhaps scare away the other fashionistas that are after your must-have designer label item.
You never have to leave oohilove.com empty handed with our Buy It Now auctions. With Buy It Now auctions, all the bids you place on an auction are offered as a discount off the "worth up to" price of the item.
You can buy the product at any time when the auction is online and up to 24 hours after the auction closed. The Buy It Now price cannot fall below $0.00, even if the discounted sum of all bids is more than the "worth up to" price of the item.
When you decide to buy the product you will no longer be able to take part in the auction, and any Bid Assistants that you have placed on that auction will be cancelled and the remaining bids returned to your bid account. The auction will continue uninterrupted for all other users. Note, you are able to "buy it now" once per auction.
