What are the recommended PC requirements to use oohilove?

You can enjoy oohilove auctions on almost any PC with an internet browser and access to the internet. However, our recommended requirements are set out below.

Supported system software:

• Windows Vista / Windows XP / Windows 2000
• Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
• Linux

Recommended browser:

• Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher
• Firefox 2.0 or higher
• Opera 8.0 or higher
• Safari 3.0 or higher

Recommended internet connection:

• 512k DSL connection or faster

Why hasn't my bid been registered on an auction?

On the rare occasion, users tell us that even though they bid before the countdown ended, their bids did not get placed and the auction ended. In these rare instances, the most likely explanation is lag times on the Internet. These lag times refer to time delays in the transfer of data between your PC and our servers. These delays occur predominately when single parts of the internet connection are overloaded.

Unfortunately, this is a general problem with the internet.

There are a few ways of help mitigate this problem whilst bidding on oohilove:

• Do not download large data (eg. video or audio files) from the internet.
• Do not send emails with large attachments.
• Ensure that no other computers are using the internet on your network.

We are very sorry if your bid was not registered by oohilove’s servers in time for the auction. To be sure to avoid this problem:

• do not place your bid at the final few seconds (ie. placing your bid at a minimum of 6 seconds before the countdown ends may help your bid to be registered on our servers if a lag does occur)
• use the BidAssistant to place your bids.
